Services Ltd. Terms and Conditions of Trading
1.Dove Maid Services is the trade name of Dove Maid Services Ltd. (company number 7314067) of 10 Callow Hill Drive, Hull, HU7 4ZL (“the Introducer”)
These terms and conditions (“the Agreement”) form the only Contract between the Introducer and the Client and it is agreed between the Introducer and the Client that this Agreement shall be
interpreted in accordance with the Law of England & Wales2.Interpretation:In these conditions “Client” is the person named in the Schedule contained herein for whom the Introducer has agreed to
provide the Specified Service in accordance with this Agreement.“Specified Service” means the introduction by the Introducer to the Client of a Cleaner “Cleaner” means a person who is working as a
self-employed domestic Cleaner providing household cleaning services as agreed between the Client and the Cleaner and “Cleaners” means more than one “Household Cleaning Services” means the service
contracted to be carried out between the Client and the Cleaner2.1 Supply of Specified Service. The Introducer shall provide the Specified Service to the Client, subject to this Agreement. Any
changes or additions to this Specified Service or this Agreement must be agreed in writing by the Introducer and the Client.2.2All Cleaners shall be vetted by the Introducer as far as the Introducer
reasonably considers necessary, this being to ensure that they are able to carry out the Household Cleaning Service on behalf of the Client but no Warranty or Guarantee is to be inferred by this
statement.2.31
Payment for the Specified Service shall be dependent on the hours worked by the Cleaner and shall be at the rate of £3 (2 hour clean), £2.80 (3
hour clean), £2.60 (4 hour clean), £2.40 (5 hour clean), £2.20 (6 hours plus) per hour in respect of the minimum hours shown in the Schedule hereto and will be made by Bank Standing order
Mandate, signed by the Client, and to be paid monthly in advance. If payment is not made in advance then this Agreement shall be immediately terminated and any sums due under this Agreement
will immediately become payable to the Introducer. The Client shall keep a daily record of hours worked by the Cleaner and supply a copy to the Introducer on demand. 2.4 Where a Client is using the services of a Cleaner introduced by the Introducer then such payments referred to in 2.3 shall continue until such Agreement is terminated by the Client by 15 days notice
in writing in accordance with clause 3 of this Agreement or within 48 hours of the termination of the Cleaner’s contract by the Cleaner.2.5Where the Client cancels a Cleaner’s appointment with less
than twenty four hours notice a payment of ten pounds (£10.00) will be made to the Cleaner but no refund will be paid by the Introducer for any payment made in advance.2.6The payment due from the
Client is based on a minimum number of hours worked by the Cleaner per week for the Client and which are set out in the Schedule and the Client will pay the Introducer an additional sum of £3 (2 hour
clean), £2.80 (3 hour clean), £2.60 (4 hour clean), £2.40 (5 hour clean), £2.20 (6 hours plus) every extra hour worked per week and will within 7 days before the end of each calendar month notify the
Introducer in writing of all extra hours worked by the Cleaner. The Cleaner will be paid Weekly/fortnightly in arrears in cash or cleared funds.2.7It is the Client’s responsibility to pay the Cleaner
and no responsibility passes to the Introducer for PAYE or National Insurance contributions, this being the responsibility of the Cleaner who is to be self-employed, however, if the relationship
between Cleaner and Client changes in that the Cleaner becomes an employee of the Client then the Client will be responsible for all statutory payments due in respect of wages mainly but not
exclusively PAYE and National Insurance contributions.2.8The Client is responsible for the safe working environment of the Cleaner and should ensure that their household insurance policy covers for
any damage, injury or loss to the Client or the Cleaner by any action of the Cleaner or Client. Where any loss is incurred by the Client through the negligence or dishonesty of the Cleaner then
the Introducer must be notified immediately of such loss and circumstances surrounding it. The Client is also responsible for any loss, damage or personal injury suffered by the Cleaner
through the negligence, or failure to comply with any Health and Safety or other appropriate Statutory Regulations applying to work in the home, or otherwise by the Client and therefore it is advised
that their household insurance policy should be consulted to ensure that cover is available. The Introducer is not liable in any way for the actions of the Cleaner as the relationship between the
Client and the Cleaner is purely one of contract between them alone. As a contingency only offering limited protection for the Client in respect of any damage however caused by the cleaner
whether during the performance of their duties or otherwise in respect to damage caused through the negligence of the Cleaner introduced by the Introducer, the Introducer has taken out public
liability insurance with Green Insurance with a limit of £1,000,000 to cover any loss or damage suffered by the Client because of such negligence. The first £100 of any claim is payable by the
Client. This insurance policy does not cover any acts of dishonesty by the Cleaner or the use of any banned cleaning substances including bleach. A copy of this policy is available on
demand.2.9All cleaning materials to be used by the Cleaner must be provided by the Client, together with all cleaning tools and utensils all of which must be safe to use, suitable for the carrying
out of the Household Cleaning Service, in good working order and where any electrical equipment is used it must be regularly tested as required by Law.2.10Where the Cleaners are unsupervised and/or
given keys to the Client’s premises then this is purely at the risk of the Client.2.11Where a Cleaner is unable to turn up for work and gives reasonable notice to the Client then the Client should
notify the Introducer who will use all reasonable efforts to apply details of another vetted Cleaner for the Client to interview in order that they can decide whether to employ that person to carry
out Household Cleaning Service.3.TerminationEither party to this Agreement can terminate this Agreement by giving the other party no less than 15 days written notice. There will be no
refunds of payments made for the notice period. 4.Restriction of the Client. The Client agrees not to (i) employ any Cleaner currently engaged by the Client or any Cleaner engaged in the past
introduced by the Introducer, without making the payments referred to in this Agreement and (ii) will not pass the name of any Cleaner whose name and particulars are supplied by the Introducer to any
third party without first obtaining the consent of the Introducer to do so.
